Shanael Diiren

How I started

Teaching has also been something I connect with. I was an English Literature, Geography, and Sports substitute teacher in Malaysia before moving to Australia to continue my studies. Plus, I have always sought out outdoor adventures and was a Dive Master in Malaysia.
 
I originally came to Melbourne to study a Bachelor of Geology. This was an area of interest to me and was excited to see where that career path would take me. Ultimately, my primary passion shifted towards fitness. In my final year of Geology, I studied at the Australian Institute of Fitness and completed a Certificate III & IV in Personal Training.
 

In 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I started to create an online program, which is now known as Online Hybrid. From training clients in parks, to running online group classes and providing coaching calls to keep everyone safe, sane and healthy, all while we were confined to our homes.

Becoming a Master Trainer

I gained my hands-on experience with a training studio that specialised in the strength and conditioning of the over 40s demographic near the Melbourne CBD. There, I was constantly dealing with high functioning and busy individuals who needed to keep fit, where some members came with specific health problems that most training spaces tended to avoid.

Here, I got to remediate frozen shoulders, chronic back pain, neck tension, prediabetic conditions, and a whole slew of general ailments. Fat loss and muscle gain were a huge priority with many of my 1-on-1 and online clients, who have come through with amazing and long lasting results. 

Combined with my extensive and ongoing training and education in the fields of fat loss and muscle gain, pre and post natal health and more, adapting my coaching approach to best suit your goals is a healthy part of my coaching system. After all, we all have our own goals and concerns that need to be addressed independently, and not with a broad strokes approach.

It is my mission to provide you with the knowledge and tools to succeed in your health and wellness journey. Information overload and not knowing what the right thing to do is such a huge problem I see many people contend with, even though they want to do what’s best.
